I’ve spent mine finding a way to bring them together.

​

For me, everything started with a desire to serve the same drive that led me to the fire department years ago. I worked as both a firefighter and a paramedic, spending my days and nights helping people through moments they’ll never forget. Those years taught me lessons you can’t learn from a textbook how to stay calm when everything feels chaotic, how to comfort someone in pain, and how the smallest act of service can change a life. It showed me that life’s meaning comes from the impact we make on others. That experience shaped everything that followed from the way I approach business, to how I see community, adventure, and purpose.

My grandfather Bud was a helicopter pilot, and I was always fascinated with helicopters from a young age. While surfing, I would watch them flying up and down the beaches and think to myself, “one day.”

​

One day in my 30s, I decided that “one day” was today. The sky opened up not just in altitude, but in perspective. There’s something about seeing the world from above that reminds you how connected everything really is: the land, the people, the animals, and the stories that tie them together. That same sense of awe became the heartbeat of what I do today.

Blue Hills Ranch was born from that spirit a dream to create a sanctuary where people could experience nature, animals, and peace in a way that feels personal and real. Over 150+ acres in McGregor, Texas, our guests can feed giraffes, swim with otters, meet kangaroos, or simply watch the sun rise over the rolling hills. Every moment reminds us that connection between people, animals, and the earth is what truly matters. These animals have become my family and now have a forever home.

As Blue Hills Ranch grew, another vision began to take shape one that tied my love of land and flight together. Giraffe Ranch Realty became a way to help others find not just property, but purpose. We don’t sell land the traditional way. We lift people above it literally showing them the lay of their future from the air in a helicopter, then exploring it up close by Jeep or UTV. It’s not about transactions; it’s about transformation. Helping someone find their dream ranch a place to build memories and legacy that’s its own kind of rescue.

At the core of both ventures is a single idea: passion can serve others.
Whether it’s comforting a guest feeding a giraffe for the first time, flying a family over their soon-to-be ranch, or building a space where people and animals thrive side by side it all comes back to heart.

For me, this is where life makes sense where adventure meets compassion, where the sky meets the soil, and where purpose finds motion.
